Use this portal to apply to the Zoning Board of Appeals for an area or use variance, or to appeal an interpretation of the zoning law. Supporting documents and application materials can be submitted with your request.
Area Variance Application
Request permission to deviate from dimensional zoning requirements such as setbacks, height, lot coverage, or frontage. This applies when your project cannot meet the physical requirements of the zoning code.
All owners with representatives must have a NOTARIZED letter giving permission to the representative to handle the project. See Owner Consent Form.
Ten (10) signed and stamped/sealed full-scale copies of survey maps (Prepared by NYS Licensed Land Surveyor or Civil Engineer authorized to practice land surveying pursuant to the State Education Law) will need to be dropped off to the Code Enforcement Office.
Digital Copy: A pdf of all survey maps, site plans or drawings must be attached to this online application.
